GFS has spent four days in Helsinki, Finland with the IEC Technical Committee, evaluating the current comments issued on the 2nd edition of IEC 61511. The standard is planned for release in 2015.

GFS and Sr. Functional Safety Engineer Mikael Lund have been engaged as Technical Authority for Instrumentation at Maersk FPSOs. Upon request or demand GFS will provide input with regards to control, systems and instrumentation in relation to internal Maersk FPSOs projects.
Work Order signed for our engagement in Maersk FPSOs’ production unit Volve on the jack-up rig Inspirer off the coast of Stavanger, Norway. The project will involve a F&G detection review as well as the implementation of Functional Safety Management.
